I'm sure there is some hidden meaning that I will never comprehend on the surface...... but taking a stab while keeping that in consideration..........
Everything in life is just that simple. Sometimes I think people almost enjoy complicating matters to the point that they are beyond repair. Stepping back and saying..... "ok, here is what we are going to do".... while staying calm and keeping your wits about you..... well.... it makes it just "that simple."
I had a friend that was so worried to tell me the truth about several things in his life. He worried about this and he worried about that and he kinda gave himself anxiety just worrying about what would happen when he told me. His reaction was just like your questin. "You mean...it was just that simple?" I smiled and said.... "yeah."
Society has taught people to worry and expect the worst because so many people have to make things soooo much more dramatic than they should be......so much worse than they should be. Things really can be.......that simple.

In my life things that look simple and I think will be simple NEVER are!! Somehow they always get complicated. So, no it can't be simple.
