Because the white house knows that "renewable energy" is a big Hoax.
So they will just support it a little ways for political purposes.
The Democrat Party knows it's a Hoax that won't work. But the Democrats get Millions and millions of dollars each election from the Environmentalists to promote it.
Oil is our best and cheapist energy source.
Everything else is just a trick to fool the gullible.
It's all about Money & Power.
The Kennedys Stopped Wind Power in their area. The Kennedys all support the Hoax. As long as the Hoax isn't in their Area.

there is no market right now , GM and Ford tried to make electric cars to create a market but no one would buy them . There are a few models out there that people still don't buy them . We should blame the auto manufacturers for not making an affordable practical electric car , the white house doesn't have to make them do that .

Because there are no affordable clean renewable energy sources.
The ones that work, cost alot and don't produce much energy.
IE: solar, wind
The one we should be using " nuclear " has drawbacks itself.
What we do use " fossil fuel " causes global warming.

everything is a crisis..the weather channel they lobby global warming..then go ballistic about a typical thunder storm..
this Chicken Little mentality is self serving..
all it comes from is people who want grants to study..something subjective...
turn it objective with the study and make a well-paying career out of a hunch..
or should I say theory..let's all wait for that Comet..you hear?

Because when the gov't directs a specific solution, it always botches the job. It's best to let the marketplace develop the solutions.
