the best age to lift heavyweight is 18. Because you have done your growing. If you are under 18, it might stunt your growth.

You can start!
I'm 14 and I started a few months ago.
The ONLY ways you can stunt your growth is lifting HEAVY weights that you can't handle with bad form. That can stunt your growth and mess you up alittle and maybe break something. But you should know that by now.
Also, stay away from squats and things that involve the back alot. Squats is for legs, so just bike ride up steep hills and there you go. You won't leave legs out.
Good luck!

Start now. Basically, they say to wait until your body matures, hits puberty, all that jazz. By 15, you should be all set. I started when I was 13, and now I'm 6'3". Nothing on earth stunts growth. It's heredity, not the environment, that gives you height (unless you've been munching on lead paint, the only known growth stopper).
