I've had a beta for MONTHS now. He lives on top of the entertainment center which has the T.V., DVR and digital cable box. He's done fine. In fact, I think I have SUPER fish.

The cat drank almost all the water out of his bowl while we were away. There was literally less than an inch of water in there. He survived. We don't change his water the recommended way either. They say to dump only 20% of the water, refill with fresh water plus the stuff to get the chlorine out. We just dump the whole bowl, fill it up with the same temp water and throw the little guy back in there. Like I said, we've had him for months. At least 4!

if the its on top of the computer no but near one sure but i don't recommend it because it could get bumped easier unless you have a shelf or something on the computer desk then it should be fine as long as you feed it and dint keep Betta's in those little bowls its not good for them how would you like it if you were stuck in a little 2' wide 3'wide the other way and 6' high not very good way of living huh get at least a 5 gallon for it

As long as it is not getting bump about, then it is OK to put you betta there. But you have to be careful not to spill or splash any water when changing water (specailly around electronic/electrical appliances) to avoid any accidents.

not a very good idea because
1)some sort of radiation wave comes from them
2)computers often have sounds coming from them, loud noises aren't good for fishes
3)what if the bowl tipped over? broken bowl+fried computer

They are fine. Goofy explainations such as electromagnetic waves are stupid.

No---there are EMF (electro magnetic force) waves. Keep the fish AWAY from these things!
