Being impeached does not mean you are automatically kicked out of office. There are several different penalty's that can be handed down by congress with losing the presidency as the worst. If he were removed from office Vice President Cheney would become President. However , he hasn't done anything illegal so it seems a mute point.Remember, Clinton was impeached and he never left office.

First, I don't see any reason to impeaching George Bush. Has he committed "high crimes and misdemeanors" against the state that I'm unaware of?

But, next in 'line' for the Presidency would be the VP, Dick Cheney. After him, next in line is the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.

Cheney, which would be even worse, so it would have to be a 2 for one deal, both Cheney and Bush, at which time Pelosi would take over.

By the way, impeachment is only half the thing. H of R impeaches, and Senate fires, not sure the exact name of it, but must have impeachment to fire.

Cheney.

Better off with Bush-at least he's stupid. Cheney is crafty, sly and truly criminal.

Unless you can get them both at the sametime, of course.
