I'm surprised no one has complained about the subtitles. I don't mind subtitles but I know people that will turn off a movie before reading dialog. I think this movie should be watched twice. Once you know the story line you can watch and just enjoy some incredible cinematography.

Surprisingly, I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. I speak Spanish, so it wasn't the language thing. The plot just moved really slowly- and the whole labyrinth thing was dull. I liked the plot about the family/Franco officer, though.

my friend has seen it and she asked me several times whether i've seen it, telling me that it was a really really good movie. It also was nominated for music (i think) in the oscar's, and it won so I would go for it just because it's a good experience to see movies that you don't like (if you end up not liking it) because everyone has their own opinion on things.

Of course it is. It won the academy award for best foreign film. You should definately see it.
The violence wasn't all that bad either. They wanted to show how evil the man was.

It was very good.
The Violance was a bit extra but all in all a good Movie

Well, it's real sad.....ithink you should watch it it's good, but it's in Spanish, there are subtitles though. you are going to cry at the end....

ITS A GREAT MOVIE!! ONE OF THE BEST! CHECK OUT CHILDREN OF MEN !! THOSE TWO DIRECTORS ROCK THEY ARE HOTTER THAN HELL.

YES!!!!! SEE THE MOVIE!!!! IT'S A FAIRY TALE FOR GROWN UPS WITH SOME VIOLENCE but still see it u will love it!!!!!
