israel is at the moment the only country in middle east having enough nuclear arsenal to make 200 nuke bombs , which can be delivered to nearly to all corners of europe and middle east. gallop international survey few years ago in EU showed that most european citizens have indicated ISRAEL the most dangerous threat to world peace. strangely it was promised by EU govts that there will be no more such voting about israel. Do you think israel with its nuclear arsenal is the greates threat to world peace.

Israel is the guardian of peace in the Middle East, and anyone who doesn't get this, clearly doesn't understand what really happens out there. Like all democracies, Israel is dedicated to fighting terrorism - this is why America supports her.

Israel is a threat only to those who seek to cause mass death of innocents. I.E. terrorists.

It sure isn't Israel. Terrorism is currently the greatest threat to not only world peace but to anyones personal safety. It is not confined to any one country. If you make decisions like this based on polls your worse than most of our presidential candidates. A good pollster knows what the answer will be when he writes the question.
You can not negotiate with anyone whos stated purpose in life is to kill you.

It isn't even a threat, let alone the greatest one.
As to the greatest threat, I think it is not a specific nation. I think it is the extreme Islamist ideology that is behind the thinking of such groups as Al Quaeda (but not limited to) that is the greatest threat.
But if I were to pick a country, I'd have to say Iran, followed by North Korea.

The Palestinian state is an equal threat. If those two could ever agree to share some land, I think most of the tension in the Middle East would end.

Israel threat to world peace? r u kidding me? all they do is protect themselves from attacks. And dont tell me that they deserve to be attacked by other countries beacause they took part of Palestine bc Syria and others took part of the country too, and noone talks about that. Practically all the middle east wants them wiped from the map so they take self defense and by defending themselves they are a threat to peace. No, the real threats are Syria and Iran and even Saudia Arabia who sponsers homegrown terror in the US and Europe.

The greatest threat to world peace is the terrorist groups who will not allow peace anywhere.
For those MORONS who think that any one country(like the US) or one person(like Bush) is the biggest threat to world peace, they fail to realize two important items.
One, where do they live right now that allows them the right to say the stupid comments like these?
Two, I guarantee you that when Bush is out of office, the world will be no closer to peace than when he is in office right now.
