because there is a God. How do you explain some of the miracles that happened or the people who's heart stopped returned from "hell" after doctors restarted their heart? I had doubts, but it took such testimony for me to start believing.

The God you talk about is from times when people did not read or write. People were not educated enough to question it. Before the the God we all talk about now there were other Gods and they are still around today. The Gods i speak of were idols used to represent the world around us. Today as back then the easy led will always follow. This has been a good thing it has always kept most people happy and cut back on the rioting in the streets. Nobody can prove or disprove the word of The God and so it will always take the uneducated lead by the educated ie Governments you realy think government people believe in God.

The number of major gods recognized around the world and recorded in world history are in the hundreds. No-one, to my knowledge, has ever seen any of them. All religions are based on a belief system.

Science, faith, and philosophy are an inseparable triad. Science cannot be done without some significant measure of faith and philosophy.Stephen Hawking has stated, "It is difficult to discuss the beginning of the universe without mentioning the concept of God. My work on the origin of the universe is on the borderline between science and religion, but I try to stay on the scientific side of the border. It is quite possible that God acts in ways that cannot be described by scientific laws, but in that case, one would just have to go by personal belief."

Well...I would rather believe in God and be mistaken than to not believe in him and be mistaken....cause if I am right I have a wonderful paradise waiting on me and if you are right what is the worse that could happen...uh...nothing....Also I know a true story from a girl who at the age of 4 saw God in all his glory....She was almost drowned and then saw God and he told her it wasnt her time....and then she told her mom all about it! This was proven to be a true story b/c she described her grandfather to a t and he died before she was even born! I dunno...I would rather believe in a higher power than the fact that I came from a monkey! That just isnt explainable to me!

God is loving, but he gives us choice...he gives us only what we can handle...you and I were put here by him for a purpose!

God is a crutch for people to lean on when they can't face
life.If something goes wrong in this world, then it's the will
of God,if something good happens, then that God fella gets
all the praise. Can't people accept that when something happens it's either natural or it's of our doing.

Isn't it about time we all started taking responsibility for what happens in this world?

So really all you non-believers base your findings on things like these:

God hasn't intervened in preventing natural disasters? Or war? Science explains away certain things just like they are trying to explain away why other nearby planets have warming temperatures as well as earth, but maintaining the warming on earth is man made? Science is fallible, in case you hadn't noticed. We were supposed to be in an ice age now according to 1970's science.

I have no religion, i do respect those that do, don't understand why or how they believe though.

I would like to think that if there was a God he would not allow things like the Tsunami in 2004 and for rain not to fall in certain countries so that his children wouldnt die starving or for my cousins beautiful innocent little girl of 14 to die from cancer when they prayed so hard for her to stay.

If there was a God, then what about the scientific evidence that we have, such as evolution and dinosaurs, didn't hear that mentioned in the bible...........

I stopped believing in fairytales a long long time ago.............

I was in a three week coma from a car accident. While in the coma I believe I saw angels. They gave me a choice to stay or to go. I obviously stayed for some reason. So I believe there must be a living god, also the bible is so exact, there is no way to disprove it, look at the way things are now, wars and rumors of wars, sin in diverse places, I sure would look at what side your on, cause there really is only one.
