Need help making Elder scrolls: Oblivion work?

Allright, I have the game installed, the disc in, I have restarted it and reinstalled it and all that jazz at least 4 times each....
My operating System is the Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Lnaguage english
System Manufacturer is Dell Inc. System Model: Dell DM051 BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A00
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2CPUs)
Memory: 1014MB RAM

Ugghh.. I want to make this work, I don't want to spend money on a new freakin' graphics card. The directx diagnosis program shows NOTHING wrong. The launcher will come up but there will be an immediate error as soon as I start the game, anybody know of any programs I can use to make it work? Please don't plead me to buy a graphics card, I don't have the spare money at the moment and I really just wanna play my game. Thank you.

I think something is wrong with vertex shading due to the fact that I have a embedded graphics card.... it is a good graphics card, it just doesn't support that, anyone know a program that can make it run???

I know you hate the hear this, but when the problem is this cut and dry there is no way around it, no simple fix or shortcut, your graphics card is simply not able to run that game. Oblivion is one of the most demanding games out there, and an embedded graphics card just can't run it.

I had the same problem with spell scroll. What you need to do is contact the game help line and they should be able to tell you the HOTFIX for Microsoft XP. MS would tell you but you have to pay an arm and a leg. i would tell you the HF # but i forgot to write it down.
