Don't use toothpaste. It leaves a film. I just use water and a lint free cloth, and have always had good luck. I know there are commercial cleaners for CDs, and probably the most effective. Call and ask a Best Buy employee. They may be able to tell you what to use that you already have at home.

An inexpensive way to clean CD's is to use plain white vinegar! Just wipe them down with vinegar using a plain white soft cloth.

If you take a highlighter and use it in a circle around the disc, then wipe it off with a kleenex, it should work. Just do a circular motion around the whole disc, then wipe it off...I've done it before and it's worked for me.

I use eye glasses cleaner. You can go to the store and get CD cleaner.
