Yeah it happens. It's usually me who keeps the peace though. I just keep silent or nod my head, so we don't have a conflict about anything. Since we are still kinda new to each other, I still feel I have to walk on eggshells and I am not really liking it. And he is sensitive...and I don't like sensitive guys. At times he surprises me by taking it easy, and othertimes his entire mood changes the moment I express something, or when he perceives something he doesnt like, and our time together is totally ruined. I hate conflicts. But since I am unable to feel very free with him, I am not sure how much longer I can stick to him. I do need a different kinda guy who is more easy-going and with whom I can totally be myself. Conflicts are normal I think. Just that, it shouldn't be too much or shouldn't be taking ur entire peace of mind away. The kind of issue also make a difference. Some are petty, others more imp that need to be definitely talked bout. And again, what's petty to one might not be so for another. What's really needed in relations is honesty, patience, and understanding. And the willingness to ride through storms together. Knowing that, it's just a bump in the road. Not the end of the road.

I was married for 30 yrs. (my husband has passed away) I think I can count on 1 hand how may arguments we had in all those yrs. they were about silly things like who was doing the cooking that night, or one of us was always running late for an important engagement we had to go to.

if we did have any serious issues, and we got angry, we would always walk away until we cooled off so we didn't say something we couldn't take back or we didn't mean it the way it came out.

by taking the time to cool off, it also gave us time to think about if was really worth getting angry about. then we would sit and discuss the issue.

it really did make for a better marriage.

Of course we get into arguments that's what married people do,but not serious ones,in fact there are two theory's in arguing with a woman and neither one works.

Now, we both are usually quiet, Then one of us ends it by apologizing. We talk it out and end it. The argument could be something dumb, and usually are us, not conveying our thoughts the right way.

My husband is late all the freaking time...he drags around and does not get ready for any thing until the last second...it drives us all nuts!! This is probably the biggest source of irritation for me and the kids.

Something petty...

1. forgot to take out the garbage.
2. accidentally got unsweetened instead of sweet tea.
3. picked up burritos instead of tortillas.
4. didn't answer the cellphone quick enough...

shall I go on....?

No, not really! I try to de-escalate situations before they become a full-blown argument!
