ever disclosed her identity. Now, you have Pres. Bush taking back his words. Not only was Mr. Lewis 'Scooter' Libby, "the leak" but also Karl Rove was part of the leaking of her name. But you look at the disappointing fashion Pres. Bush has enacted "no apology" given to the Wilson family and this president needs to be impeached. The Bush Administration is trying to hide their hands behind the facts which were giving in the case and what the sentence of Mr. Lewis 'Scooter' Libby was convicted under was he outed a CIA Agent that was convert. I don't understand why everyone is trying to dispute the facts that Valerie Wilson was uncover when her identity was breached. I don't know why people are still disputing that and it's all the Bush Administration trying to throw rocks and hide their hands.

How embarrassing it must be to show such ignorance on the subject. Joe Wilson was the proven liar in this whole mess that should never have gone to court since the prosecutor knew the leaker wasn't Libby and knew that Plame wasn't covert. Patrick Fitzgerald is who should be in prison, for being another rogue prosecutor, like Nifong.

1) Libby wasn't the leaker, Armatage was.
2) Plame wasn't covert anyway.
3) Clinton and Sandy Berger committed much worse crimes and got no punishment.

I know you won't believe the truth, but there it is anyway.

You don't even understand what Libby was found guilty of, do you? Get your facts straight, it's all in the public record.
As per Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald's own admission, Libby did not leak Plame's name, Richard Armitage did. Armitage is not being prosecuted because Plame herself did not fit the definition of a covert agent. She had not been out of country within the required time frame, and her name was on the door in the lobby of CIA Headquarters in Virginia. So therefore there was nothing to be outed by anyone. Karl Rove was explicitly exonerated by Fitzgerald.
Libby was found guilty because his recollection of how he first heard about Plame differed from what someone else had said. Clearly, one of these two people's testimony is wrong. They could just as easily prosecuted the other guy because his story didn't add up with Libby's, but they didn't.
So in the end, Libby was somehow found guilty of lying about a crime which didn't happen to a guy who already knew that it didn't.
The verdict was so stupid and blatantly partisan, pardoning Libby was the only way to protect the already tarnished creditability of the entire legal system.

Scooter Libby was sentenced to prison for obstructing justice, not "outing" Valerie Plame. Nobody "outed" Valerie Plame; she was no longer covert when she was "outed". Anyway, the president has commuted his prison sentence, not pardoned him. Libby has already paid his $250,000 fine.

This whole episode has been nothing more than a political shakedown by the DNC to hurt the Bush administration. It's as simple as that.

Yikes, you might want to do a bit more research. Libby was convicted for the leak since he wasn't the one to do so. He was prosecuted for obstruction of investigation and lying on the stand. Jeshhhhhh Of course this is a waste of typing since your mind is made up and won't change, heck if Bush brought world peace by Monday you folks wouldn't complain that it wasn't soon enough.
