f(x)=(4x-1) (2x+3)

divide everything by x.
that cancels out the x.
Then your left with
f=(4-1) (2+3)
do the math in the parenthesis
f=(3) (5)
the two parenthesis means you have to multiply.

f=15

I think that f(x)=2 - 7/ (2x +3)
divide 4x-1 by 2x +3 and you get the answer
