Yes and No.... I play tennis and yes I get more power from certain racquets but over all if you can play tennis you learn to adjust to different racquets. I think tension is more important.

Yes, the size of the head of the raquet and if it iz a widebody or not make the largest difference, if you using a widebody you tend to get more power and less control, if you use a smaller head you can get more spin and feel on the ball, thus more control, stringing also affects the play of your raquet

this is a very situational question actually...i will try my best yah...

the racket will effect the way you play..YES but that depends on the level you are currently playing at...as a beginner...it wont make much of a difference...but as you get better...then get good...a racket will most definately make a difference...

each racket has its own "personality" some rackets can be used to make certain shots look easy...while another racket would be a horror to pull the same shot off...see the "little" things like the head size, swingweight, overall weight ALL contribute towards the personality of the racket

try giving roger federer, nadals racket...fedex would probably still play better then any of us...but he wont be as comfortable as using his own k90...

as you get better...it is a definate you would be more picky in the racket you use...certain racket just dont give you that "feeling" you are looking for...which is what the players are looking for...

HOWEVER the racket alone does not effect your play...its a combination of the racket...and its strings...the tension at which the racket is strung will make a lot of difference as well...

all in all...YES the racket does make a difference

Not really, string tension is most important. The tighter the strings and the less time the ball stays on them and the more power you get. The looser the strings the more control you get and its better for spins. Just depends on your game.

Yes it does...try playing with those old wooden rackets that I learned how to play tennis with in the old days! [I'm 44 years old now]. When you buy a new racket, bounce your hand on and off of the center of the racket to feel how much spring you get out of it. I have watched so many famous tennis players come on the court with a handful of rackets because after a while of playing and the springyness gets less on the racket, they get one of their new rackets with more spring in it. The ball bounces better off of these rackets. There is only one setback to too much springyness in a tennis racket...you can overhit a ball to out of bounds, so the key to when you have a new racket is to hit the ball a little softer till you learn to adjust to new racket.

Yes, you have to get the right weight and length. But what mostly matters are the strings and tension.

Its not really the racquet that effects your play its the strings and the tension.

Yes...Graphite is far better than wood...and you hit the ball harder with graphite...
