each and every physique else purely gave the solutions, right here is why the solutions are what they're. To get an fallacious fraction from a blended numeral, you get a elementary denominator and upload. To get the elementary denominator, purely multiply the variety out front by skill of the denominator. to illustrate: 5 and a pair of/3 turns into (5*3)/3 + 2/3 15/3 + 2/3 = 17/3 Similarily 8 and 3/5 40/5 + 3/5 = 40 3/5 2 and 3/8 sixteen/8 + 3/8 = 19/8 4 and a million/2 8/2 + a million/2 = 9/2 wish this helps Cheers

fractions have numerators which is the upper number and denominators the lower number. to convert this:

multiply the denominator which is three by 2 the whole number that gives you the answer 6 then add the numerator which is one final answer should be 7/3

same with second multiply 4 by 5 is 20 then add 1 the numerator answer is 21/4 and so forth.

You want to multiply the WHOLE number by the DENOMINATOR. After you get that answer, ADD the NUMERATOR to that number. When you have your answer, that is the NEW NUMERATOR. Keep the DENOMINATOR the SAME.

Multiply 2 times 3. You get 6.
Then add 1. So 6 plus 1 is 7.
7 is your NEW NUMERATOR.
3 is still the denominator.

GOOD LUCK!
