My first "real" job was in a cafeteria, I was 16. I was covering three other stations besides mine Sunday lunch (which was the busiest day), and I hadn't been able to pull a piece of pumpkin pie which had the crust pulling away from the filling. The manager, who wasn't working, came through and flipped it upside down on the counter and said "Clean this up". First time in my life I used the "f' word. I told him "f-you. You clean it up. I quit". I turned and walked out.
I came to get my check the next day, and the assistant manager (Tiger) apologized to me, and asked me to stay. I told him he hadn't done anything..and if the manager was too small to apologize, then I wasn't staying. He looked at me like with amazement and told me he didn't blame me.
Yeah..it felt good. Next job was at a vet clinic, and I loved it.

I have. Actually, I feel a little goofy saying this because I've had really crappy jobs that I stayed with. And the only job that I just walked off from was a job that I kind of liked. When I was a teenager, I worked at a little restaurant. Me (I was the bussboy), the cook and the dishwasher all quit at the same time. It was kind of stupid, I didn't have it all that bad.
But one good thing came out of it. All the people who stayed got a quarter raise the next day. So I guess my selfishness helped out some hard working people....

I worked on a bulletin board decoration committee in high school. The pres was an @$$ who only was there because it made her look good. Nobody helped me, even though I was supposed to, and they didn't like any of my ideas, so I put up a sucky board, and never went back. The club then stole my ideas and made a board, but the club died after a year, so ha ha!

Yes. And you know what? The first time that I saw your avatar it reminded me of a friend of mine that walked off the job with me. Actually, we worked in a plastic factory that made everything you can think of that is plastic. We were on the assembly line and they wouldn't slow it down so we said "Let's get the hell out of here"! What was so funny is the boss started running behind us screaming "Come Back"!! We were like "Adios Amigo"! LOL

Sure have, at least 6 or 7 times. With my vocation I could go to work the next day some where else. Usually my temper, if I were questioned about my ability.

I actually did once... It was a mundane job that I had one summer. half way through the summer, the boss decided that we couldn't talk during the job any more... well, as a teen, that was simply unacceptable. So, I went to work at Hardees *smirk*
