Davey Jones or the Monkees?

Question

I have a bet with a friend. Does anyone remember a song called "Jennifer" I really think it was by The Monkees, or maybe Davey Jones. If you could please tell me how I can find proof of this on internet, so I can collect my winnigs.

I think it was related to their tv show? Their was a girl on their by the name of Jennifer? Ok I was little, but I really remember people singing that song to me? Just need help finding it.

"Cheer up Sleepy Jean" was a Monkee song.

Daydream Believer...The Monkees w/ Davy singing lead on it. Some of the words are :Cheer up sleepy Jean, oh what does it mean, to a daydream believer and a homecoming queen...etc. I dont remember any song by the Monkees called Jennifer. I have most of their records and I dont see it and yes I watched the tv show. Hope this helps you out.

Peter Tork had a girlfriend named Jennifer McLeod who designed the costumes for the Monkees' 1987-89 tours (see first link), so it's possible he might have written a song about her, but I haven't found it anywhere.

The only song I know of named "Jennifer" was by Styx. The lyrics to that song are at the second link. Take a look and see if they ring a bell. I know Styx may seem like a far cry from The Monkees, but the vocal break that goes, "di di di-a-doo di-a-doo di-a-doo-doo di di di-a-doo-di" sounds Monkee-ish.

How about Donovan's song "Jennifer Juniper"? That is from the same era, and Donovan was kind of a mix between the British Davy, the curly-haired Micky, and the psychedelic Peter.
