It is normal to feel this way, but you should tell her you want smaller tampons. It will be weird asking her, but it is alot better then the alternative.

it is completly normal to be uncomfortable. If it would make you more comfortable, go to the store with your Mom and quickly go down the isle with pads and tampons are and grab a few. If that is even uncomfortable, you could just go in alone, and ask your mom for a couple dollars. Good Luck!

Some girls that have their periods, don't like to talk to their mom about it. I just started my period a month and a half ago for the first time. I'm totally comfortable talking to my mom about it when I have a question or something. But I won't talk to anybody else about it. Just my mom. She's always there for me!

there comes a time when you need to grow up enough to realize that your mom knows what you are going thru, because she's been there, done that. But if you are still too immature to be able to be open and honest with her, try writing her a short letter. Tell her in the letter what your concerns are, that you think you might need a smaller tampon etc, and that you are embarrassed to talk to her openly about it. I am sure she will understand, and you will get what you need.

It's normal for most teenage girls not to want to talk to their mother about their periods. You view as something personal or maybe your embarrassed. But your mom can give you sound advice about your periods and you should consult her. I can tell you this much the tampon size goes according to the blood flow. So if your mom uses super absorb. then that tells me she has fairly heavy periods.

Yeah it's normal, I know I didn't want to talk about it with my mom at first. She didn't even know I got it. The tampon thing though you need to tell her, because you need to be comfortable with them. Personally my mom did not want me to use condoms, she said those are not for virgins, lol. Think though if you can't talk to your mom, who can you talk to? Remember she's got experience. So give it a try.

it is totally normal to talk to your mom about periods! she has/had them too and shes gone through the same thing in her life.
if you are not totally comfortable with talking to her, leave her a note or something. and i'm pretty sure you're not ready for super tampons yet, lol.
anyways, try to just talk to her about it! she would be glad to help!you wont regret it. good luck.

it is normal i didn't feel comfortable but once u have it for a long time it is just easy to talk about it. also u probably don't need the super tampons just go to the store and buy them yourself or tell your mom how you feel she was your age before

The more you talk about it, the more comfortable you get. Talk about it with your friends who also have their period. Ask them if you can try their products to see what kind you like best. Or ask the school nurse. She can help you with this, too.
