THE 4TH IS THE ONLY DAY CONSIDERED A HOLIDAY BUT SOME EMPLOYERS GIVE AN EXTRA DAY OR TWO IN ORDER TO BRIDGE A LONG WEEKEND. SOME WANT THOSE HOURS MADE UP ANOTHER DAY SOME DON'T.

No, not even the Government gets these days off, we have to go back to work unless we take leave of course, some folks, do and will do that. LOL

No. Some people buy so many fireworks, or get great deals on fireworks after the holiday (and you have to store them carefully in a cool dry place or they loose their ability to fire) that they keep blowing off fireworks until they are gone/blown off.
I know, some people draw it on and on for days...I especially hate those 'screamer' bottle rockets.
