I don't think most men cheat.

My wife and I are going strong -- and faithful -- after 16 years. Furthermore, it's not for lack of opportunity on either of our parts. Both my wife and I have been asked by potential hookup partners "just how married we are." So why don't we cheat? Several reasons:

1. Neither one of us wants to hurt someone we love so dearly.
2. A cornerstone of marriage is trust; whether or not someone catches you cheating is irrelevant. If you cheat, you have broken not only a word, but the foundation of your relationship.
3. A great sex life. Too often, people ignore this part of their marriage. Sure it can be tough trying to schedule a steamy hookup without kids and jobs getting in the way, but in a very real sense sexual intimacy is just as much a foundation of a marriage is love and trust.

The love and trust a man feels for his wife may keep him from cheating, but a good sex life at home will keep him from wanting to cheat.

I would say a very small percentage do, and it would be because of different reasons; either they're not getting what they need at home (I'm serious) or they're players. Men who are gentlemen don't cheat, I'm sorry to say, it's just the way it is. I've spent a lot of time in the dating scene and that's pretty much the case.

Sadly I do, though I would like to know that it wasnt true. Many of us believers have been cheated on or know someone who has been.In my case my father did this to my mom, so in my eyes the one person I looked up to has ruined my trust for non cheating men.

i dont think it is because they were forgotten, although the first answer does shed some light on the emotions of men.

i dont think they want to cheat, i think it has something to do with primal instinct.
as in, men spread the seed...
well that seems pretty archaic, and i think men are struggling with wanting to love thier wives, but a wink here, a jiggle there.. they cant help it.

doesnt excuse it, but whatever
