If anyone knows this song please let me know! My father passed away last week and it reminds me of my childhood when he used to play it... thanks in adavance...

I may be wrong because it has been a while since I heard the album but I think you may be mixing two different songs. One is Roland the Rodie and Gertrude the Groupy and the other is The Wonderful Soup Stone. Both were by Dr Hook and the Medicine Show.
