Try using a slender or teen model. They are smaller. Tampons with PLASTIC applicators are usually the easiest to use.

They don't hurt. It probably wasn't in far enough.

Tampax! I've tried many over the years and always go back to Tampax, the original in the cardboard sleeve. There are so many sizes. You are so young. I didn't use them till I was about 18. Tampax has what they call Junior and slender regular. As I've started into menopause, I find myself using the smaller sizes. Give them a try...good luck

I'm 12 too and I like the playtex sport tampons. They don't leak as bad as other ones and they feel more comfortable to me. You need to use the kind with an applicator...they're much easier! Also the first time you use one I would go with the slendor/junior/teen sized ones. They have a smaller applicator so they're easier to insert. Yes it is normal for it to hurt a little at first but after awhile it won't hurt. Hope this helps! By the way the first time I tried them I used playtex gentle glide with the junior size or whatever word they used for junior! LoL you mostly have to try different ones and see what works for you though!

Tampax Pearl is fine. Just use the "juniors," or the smalles tampon you can fine. Oh, and one warning. When you have a tampon in, it may not be bulky, but the string could show out of your suit when you have your leg in the air. So make sure to tuck it in.

i figure skate too!! :]
i like plastic tampax pearl, they slide in aton easier than the cardboard applicator kinds.
if that didnt work for you, im pretty sure Kotex and other brands have slim/petite fittig ones, that might be easier for you.

ob might be sorta hard, ive never tried those before.
its just sorta harder, cause you have no applicator.

Use one of the brands that have "slender" ones made more for teens. I would recommend not using anything that has a cardboard applicator as that can be uncomfortable when inserting. Try to relax too. If you are tense it can hurt too.
