Ok when you are writing a pilot and you want a certain channel to pick up your pilot can you only pitch it to that certain channel or do you have to pitch it to the whole show network? Also if you write and direct the show are you the creator? If you Have any help or suggestions, websites? Also how much do you think you should spend when writing pilots? Do you as the director have to pick the place the show is filmed and the actors how much do you usually pay actors/actresses?

You will not be pitching anything. The Talent Agent pitch the project. You sit home and wait for the agent to call you with a yes or no.

You sound like you are on the right track. Learn as much as you can and paste rejection slips on your wall till you get an offer that works for you. It's not easy, send to anyone you can and hope for the best, take care of details and do what you can.

What NYgal said. Unsolicited scripts are NEVER read. Everything must be submitted through a literary agent. If your work is good you will be able to get signed by one.
