Dirk Nowitzki? 100%
the Mavericks? 75%

This is a tough question, because the Mavericks are so good, but just can't seem to deliver at an important moment. They showed that lack of resilience against Miami, and against the Warriors.

I think a lot has to do with Dirk. When push comes to shove, the star player in the team has to deliver. With a team like the Mavericks, which plays phenomenal defense and solid offense, Dirk has no excuse.

I've heard of rumors that has Dirk shipping elsewhere. But If Dirk stays, for the mavericks to win, Dirk has to deliver at a clutch situation.

Unless Dirk start being a all the player that he is in crucial moment, I think it will be hard for the Mavericks to win with a current team. There just is not enough fire in him.

Now the Mavericks might do something interesting this offseason. Mark Cuban can always do something to mix things up. Who knows? They might win it all this coming season.

They have a good chance. The only thing is Dirk doesn't have that leadership quality, that is needed from the truly great players. He is a star, but anyone can see he choked under the pressure, it was even more pressure considering it was an 8th seed that knocked them out. Dirk is not a franchise player, he never was and he never will be. Its not hard to see that. Any team can win the championship, its just a very very difficult road to get to the finals.

I think there is a good chance, although it may not happen right away. They are a very good team, and Dirk still has many good years left in him, he's not very old. He will still be young enough once Duncan and Steve Nash have gotten too old to power their teams, and maybe that's when they'll break through. It really is disappointing in retrospect that they blew such a good chance against Miami 2 seasons ago, tho.

They have a pretty good chance, the Mavs are an excellent team. They have talent, and are well coached. If they can learn from their mistakes, I see no reason why they can't win it all.
We know them as chokers right now, but it takes only one championship and that word will be gone from them.

There is a 1/30 chance because it will be a new season and there are 30 NBA franchises.

the mavaricks and the suns have aleady been the best they can be, there is no seeing these two teams win a title, remember they did everything we expected them to do yet they came up short, what else is there to say about them, close but no cigar is all i can fgure.
