I love going to the drive-in. For 10 ten years, I had a drive-in movie theatre pass for whatever whenever and as much as I wanted. It was great! I highly recommend getting one.
What should you sell in your gift shop? B-Movie memorabilia, hot dogs, tacos, and the famous hot dog-taco for the people that flip-flop! Divine cotton-candy!
OH ... and "John Water's" bottled water! What a great idea!

It's sad that so many people here automatically think it would be a sexual thing just because it's a "gay" drive-in.
Why should it sell anything different from other movie theaters? Maybe some things aimed at gay people, such as pride items.. But anything else (such as sexual things) would just be following the stereotypes that people try to place on the gay community.

So does that mean I have been going to Heterosexual drive-ins all along? And if I am hetero, does that mean that I can't go to your drive-in? I guess I don't get the point to opening a gay drive in. At drive-ins, you generally sit there with whoever you went with, and watch the movie. It's not like you're going there to meet other gay people, so why make it a gay drive-in. If anything, you would probably hurt business by alienating the hetero people that may have otherwise gone.
Now, if you are planning on showing x-rated gay porn, then I would sell the following:
Baby Oil
KY
Kawk Rings
Butt plugs
Condoms (I guess that should have been first on the list)
Rainbow items, like key chains and bumper stickers.
Maybe some gay porn dvd's.
etc, etc......

Girls and Guys ! What is this ? How about books about gay cinema, gay themes in theater througout the ages, short motivating books for insecure closet teenage gays, postcards picturing famous gay people, artistic postcards, T-shirts with the rainbow on, posters with motivating texts, CD's of Tsjaikovski and or any other musician/popstar with gay reputation or gay icons... It's so bad for our own self esteem to always immediately have to see our own way of being reduced to a sex shop !

I see all the thumbs down for the comments for lube and condoms, etc... and really... a DRIVE IN.. didnt we all make out at the drive in? Didnt many of us go "all the way" at the drive in? Personally, I am ALL FOR providing protection (condoms and dams) at ANY drive in!! If we, as sexual people, go all holier than thou on ourselves, well... we may as well join the "bad guys."
