at power plant: coal burns to produce heat (chemical to thermal)
heat produces motion in generator:(thermal to mechanical)
generator produces electricity:(mechanical to electrical)
electricity produces electrons shooting from cathode:(electrical to kinetic energy of electrons)
electricity produces sound: (electrical to mechanical)

sound is produced by moving a speaker

Hi. For one, electrical energy is used to accelerate electrons from the cathode to the screen on the front which strike phosphors and emit photons. The sound is made magnetically.
