Think some people are getting mixed up with the Milton area in Glasgow which is extremely 'rough' but milton of campsie on the outskirts of Glasgow is a nice area, good schools, usual neds hanging about outside spar on a weekend but no real danger

Dinna be daft wee man - no matter where you live there will always be neds and lowlife cos the polis urny allowed to hit them over the hied wi their batons. The vast majority of glasgow folk are hardworking decent people - and like all communities across the country wish the government would get a whole lot tougher on the urban terrorism spawned by these numpties.

It depends where your moving from and what nationality you are - if you are a refugee then its not much different from central Glasgow but I wouldn't want to stay there - although the Glasgow people are very friendly.

The area includes Possil and parts of Maryhill which have perhaps got an exaggeratedly bad reputation. It has been associated with high unemployment general deprivation and less than average life opportunities. There is however a strong and vibrant community spirit to counteract the prevailing climate of violence and drug-related crime.
