I'm 13 and for the first time i put it in a tampon. last time i was in the bathroom crying for an hour cuz it was stuck and i couldnt get it out and it hurt so much....but i really did it. but i know ur not supposed to feel anything, but i do..but it doesnt hurt. when i put the applicator in, i didnt feel anything...and then i pushed the thingy to push the tampon in....and i didnt feel anything, but when i stood up and started walking....i felt a bit of something...well theres something in my body so of course i should feel it, but is this normal, or is there supposed to be ABSOLUTELY NO FEELING AT ALL? and also... im shaking uncontrollably cuz im nervous right now...cuz i am kinda happy and this is new, and my muscles are probably tight, is that whats making me feel it? is it normal that i feel it a little bit?

Wow, there's a lot there in that post. 1) I wish you had a mother or a sister or a friend who could talk to you and reassure you right in the moment, and also give you a big hug for being so brave. It's kinda sad that you have to talk to strangers about such important things, but I hope everyone will be kind and helpful and respectful to you. 2) As it's a new experience, it's not surprising if you're a bit hypersensitive about it all. There should not be any pain with tampon use, ever. If there is, you are probably using too high an absorbency for your body and need to go down a size or two until you're used to using tampons. Some women are very chemically sensitive to the chemicals used to bleach the tampons. I have even read that some companies use chemicals in their product which cause women to bleed more so they can sell more product, which sucks if it's true. I use them myself (Tampax). I refuse to use Playtex, b/c those little plastic applicators will never biodegrade and if you've ever spent anytime at the ocean and seen how many of them wash up on the shore, never to leave this planet for a million years or more, you'd agree.
You should be happy with yourself! You did something brave and new (and it sounds like a bit difficult and scary for you) all by yourself! You're absolutely right about why your muscles may have been tight. Fear and anxiety will do that to a girl. Good for you for doing it anyway! I will also say this: For some women, tampons can be too long. They sometimes can crash or bang into your cervix as you move and cause cramping and discomfort. OB's are much shorter and fatter so they can be a good choice for women who find tampax too long or uncomfortable, especially girls who are not done growing yet. I have also used sea sponges and like them very, very much. You need to boil them between uses (after you've rinsed the blood out). By the way, menstual blood rinsed out in a pan of water and given to your plants makes for amazingly happy, green, luxuriant plants. Women all used to know and to do things like this before Madison Avenue told us out bodies were filthy and dirty and so many women fell for it. It feels really good to know that you're not adding to the paper waste problem on this earth by using sea sponges. My midwives also say to NEVER use Always products b/c of the chemicals they contain.
Hope this all helps! May the goddess richly bless you, each and every single day of your life!

Well you might have not inserted it properly. I got that too the first time I used a tampon - I only got 3/4 of it in because I was so nervous I couldn't relax so I couldn't manage to get it in. After that, I walked like a robot because of the pain! So that must have happened to you too - not being able to relax > not getting the tampon in right > ouch.
And yes, there should be no feeling at all, after you've got it in properly.
The shaking is because you are nervous, everyone gets it, I bet now it's over ;)

What you spot on common, is what is ordinary. Example: in the event you see a character hiccuping that normally ordinary but when its nonstop for days or months, that is without doubt no longer ordinary. Also if a character was once born with anything like six palms on every hand won't look ordinary to us however it's ordinary to that character. So usually it is an man or woman factor that nobody else will have an understanding of.

happened to me. when you stand up and start walking you can kind of feel it a little bit, right? yeah you should not feel anything. it's because it's not in far enough. push it in all the way. it goes wayyy up there, so don't worry. yes taking it out does hurt the first few times. take it out fast, not slow. it is going to hurt taking it out, i still haven't gotten used to that. that's the only thing i don't like. good luck.

you shouldnt feel it at all, so you probably didnt have it in quite far enough. next time try ones for a lite flow (they have ones for younger females too that might be better suited to you) whne you take it out, it should slide out pretty easy. if it doesnt, this is a sign that it can be left in longer (if you havent been wearing for more then 6 hours) or that you need a lower absorbency. good luck!

I use the smallest Tampax tampons (have been for the last 7/8 years) and I still feel them. I sometimes experience a little bit discomfort but it beats a pad every day.

You shouldn't feel anything once it's in. I did that my first time too. Just push it up further and you won't feel anything. It's not in far enough right now. Don't worry. You'll be fine. Try to relax. It'll take a few tries before you get it right.

i used to get that way. but after a while i got the hang of it. you are supposed to feel nothing at all. make sure when you put it in you tilt it a little back and make sure you use the other hand to move the flaps out of the way.

Relax! You might have inserted it a little off, or you may have too big of size! Don't be going for the supers!!
You shouldn't really feel anything if it is inserted correctly! Takes practice!

The first couple times you take it out, it will hurt. Because your not used to walking around and doing normal activity with something "up there". It will pass the more you do it, and yes, it is normal.
