we have black mold in our apt. my stove burns everything up.my dishwasher has never worked.landlord cut a hole in my floor,and left it.we didnt have air for two weeks.i have called the city inspector several times,still nothing has been done.i keep hearing promises that are never fulfilled.i am tired and want my money back so i can move ,what should i do?

Document everything; when "repairs" were made and by whom, status of repairs, phone calls made, who you talked to, any results.

Until you can move, clean the mold using straight white vinegar. Spray mold and allow it to dry before cleaning. If you don't wait, the mold spores will dispense into the air, and settle/grow in other places.

Call your local Department of Health and explain the situation. They may be able to refer you to someone who can help you.

You want the Health Department, not a city inspector.

u should definitley get a health department person to come over that seems so unhealthy for a place to live in especially if u have children.(i don't know if u do). maybe get a new apartment if nothing works out.

report the mold to health dept. but in many states. landlords are NOT required to make repairs...they just do it cause they know people will move.

Try calling your local Tenants Union even join if you have too,.they have Lawyers on call that maybe able to help you

at this point you might have to call an attorney. try to find ones that specialize in landlord/tenant disputes
