I make a list and carry a pen with me and cross off the items as I go. I have to do that or I will buy a bunch of stuff that I don't need. Also, I get so distracted by the grocery store (cuz I don't get out that much, see) that I forget what I came for in the first place.

I'm totally Anal...I have a PDA, and it has 2 shopping list programs in it. Lists all the prices, and ounces, sizes, etc. the gives me a approximate total when I "cross" them of the list. Which is nice, so I am not shocked at the register. And I do enjoy random shopping.

Definitely make a list... I don't want to have to make a second trip shopping for groceries.

A list but then again half the stuff I buy when I get there isn't on my list and the rest of the stuff on my list I can't afford lol

I order my groceries on-line (through Fresh Direct) and usually use a list.
FYI, it's so convenient, fruits and veggies are fresher, and the food is much cheaper than the local grocery stores. And no I don't work for them!

I usually make a list but I never stick to it though. I always write all the good things on the list but once i'm there, I can't help but be tempted by the choccies, lollies and chips. I'm a junk food freak!!

I do make a list for the following reasons: first, it made my shopping easy and fast. Second, I need to stick to my budget and third I don't want to miss a single item.

I just wing it, get what I know I need for sure.
I do write out a list for the deli, and meat shop though.
