don't wear a pad in the pool.
it will soak up and it will be puffy(YUCKY and UNCOMFORTABLE!!)
plus, the blood will be in the pool.
please do u and ur swim mates a favor: either dont go, or wear a tampon

Swimming with a pad is not a good idea. The pad Will absorb water from the pool and your period still continues so you are not really protected from anything. You can most definetly go swimming with a tampon, since it goes inside it kinda sorta serves as a plug, so nothing will leak out into the pool.

No. You MUST wear a tampon if you are going swimming. Water/swimming DOES NOT stop a period. NO tampon=No pool

Wear a tampon of course. The pad will get all soggy and particles will probably fall off in the pool. That would really suck.

i don't recommend it. would you put a baby with a dirty diaper in the pool? it's kind of the same idea. it's not very sanitary and once the adhesive gets wet, who knows what will happen? it could end in major embarrassment. have you given tampons a try? i know a lot of girls had trouble or pain at first using tampons with applicators. they tried OB Tampons that don't have an applicator and they haven't had any problems.
good luck!

Def should use a tampon. It took me awhile to learn to get that sucker in, so I fully understand if you are having troubles. Just practice it. Your flow does stop in water so you could wear a panty liner if you really wanted, however; a tampon is just meant for this.

It's best to wear a tampon, but if you can't wear them, make sure you wear a pad that's secured tightly to your underpants. Make sure the underpants fit almost like a panty-girdle.

No because the blood wouldnot fall onto the pad because there's not much gravity, making the blood flow flow all around and making the area around you bloody.
Tampons work much better
