Forgot to mention that all i have are jeans and work clothes. I don't have dresses at all and all my gf's live) at least 40 miles away from me ( plus I"m very tall all my friends are short) I don't want to look too overdressed and I don't want to look like I just grabbed some of my clothes and threw something together.

Go into your closet and pull out all of your so-so dressy clothes. Now look carefully through what you have....could this black broomstick skirt be paired up with this pink wrap blouse, and that bronze and pink scarf (tied loosely around the upper hips) to make a sort of casual chic bohemian look? Paired with a pair of black strappy sandals, it would look wonderful.

Now your hair newly washed and brushed until it shines, held up on one side with that bronze clip your Mum gave you for your birthday, and those pink waterfall earrings you thought were a mistake to buy...and voila! There you go...the perfect outfit for a summer wedding.

that depends on what type of wedding it is. Have you considered looking second hand? you'd be suprised what you might find. Some people will buy a dress, wear it once and then hand it over to value village. I have found brand new clothes at deep discounts by carefully hunting through those kinds of stores. If the occation is nice but not super formal you can wear a skirt and blouse or slacks and a blouse. Try target or sears in their clearance sections. the clothing season is rolling over into fall so you might be able to find a good sale.

I would try Macy's, especially since they have the 4th of July Blow out sale. You can find all kinds of dresses there. If you are going to a day time wedding you want to look for something semi-formal. If it is a night wedding look for a long formal dress. Remember, do not wear anything that will take away from the bride's dress. In other words, do not wear white or something too provocative.

You sont have to have a dress a nice fitted blazer and a matching trouser or skirt would be perfect with a bright color shirt underneath....it looks not only professional, and nicelooking but can sometimes be more comfortable and cheaper than buying a dress for a wedding...perhaps you alreay have this stuff. If not try to look for sales in your area using the internet. I would also make a runby to target or walmart. I'm sure if you do what i say you will be satisfied...good luck tho and happy shopping!!!!(thats always my favorite part)

Try going to Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, or Wet Seal. They have fun, fashionable dresses, tops, and bottoms at affordable prices. Their dresses are usually between 20-30 dollars. Since it's summer, pick out a cute sundress with a pretty pattern! If you don't like the dresses there, you could always get a dressy top and a skirt and you're good to go!

Wear something you have or borrow one from a friend. There's no need to spend money on a dress for a wedding, everyone's looking at the bride anyways ( =

There are plenty of stores that you can get a reasonable priced dress. Try Ross, Marshalls, or TJMaxx. You can get a dress for under 30 dollars. That way you still have money left over to buy shoes and accessories.

you're just GOING to a wedding?
if you're not IN the wedding, a skirt would be fine.
i wouldn't spend $80 on a dress just to go to a wedding!

i played guitar in a wedding once, and i just bought a plain black dress at target for like 20 or 30 bucks...

i would go to target and get a cheap dress like this: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-1/qid=1183665189/ref=sr_1_1/602-4097381-3872658?ie=UTF8&asin=B000Q7TSV4

otherwise wear a skirt if you have one...
