Dont spend less than 700 on your laptop, you'l' regret it.

It basically depends on what you want to do with that laptop. If you want to use it for browsing the internet and check e-mails, then go with a simple configuration. If you want to use it for gaming then it's a completely different story (powerful processor and video card, more RAM).

As from my personal experience, most of the laptops I fixed were Dell. So, I wouldn't go with that brand.

Battery life; it will usually be one hour less than they claim (a three hour battery last 2:12:00)
RAM - this is the really fast memory your computer runs programs in ( more RAM = more programs running at the same time faster) - at least one Gigabyte
CPU speed - measured in giga hertz- its how fast your computer thinks - at least 1 Gz
Expansion cards; graphics cards, wireless internet cards, etc.

From my experience, Toshiba is the best

if u want a gaming pc go iwth aleinware or falcon-nw

if u want a business laptop go with lenovo thinkpads

if youre looking for a gaming lapop, id go with alienware. for business or work purposes, go with a HP
