I have carpet and hardwood floor damage. Water also leaked into the ground AC vents (from main drain, toilet, shower,etc..). It stinks and we also had to shut the AC off to remove the AC coil to remove the water from the vents(ducts). Everything is polluted. Are we entitled to have them put us in a hotel because of the air pollution and heat without having the AC? Expense some of our meals due to kitchen not being available to cook? What are some other things that we might be entitled to as policy owners.

It all depends on your policy. Way too many variables to take a guess at here. Read your policy and what it covers. They are not all the same, even policies issued by the same company.

You're entitled to ask for anything you want including a new house. What you get will be determinned by the insurance adjuster.

be careful.... nowadays, any water damage claim , even the smallest will make insurance companies run away....so a buyer may back out ... anyway.. it depends on your policy and the adjuster

You can ask for anything you want. Getting it depends on your policy. They may even bend over backwards to please you and then not offer to renew your policy.
