my brother visited me last weekend. and when he backed up, he found out that his car's brake fluid's gone. so he called AAA to get it towed. but when AAA guy was towing his car, he crashed into one of the landload's property. the AAA told me that they;ll get it fixed, but the landload tells me that it's my brother's fault cause he parked his car there. (i think that's a bull sh*t.) my landload and AAA talked to each other, but my landload's being very picky, AAA is so mad at her for being a b*tch. now, she want ME to pay the fee to get it fixed, which is like $600. what should i do??

Check your lease carefully, unless there is explicit language stating that only tenants can park at the property, your land lord is wrong. If it was "street" parking, anyone could have been parked there.

If AAA was physically responsible for the damage, they are also liable for it in most cases. Worst case scenario, your brother is responsible. Unless it was your car and/or you were driving there is no way that I see this as your responsibility.

However you resolve this, I would highly consider moving unless the apartment is terrific and/or low rent.

Triple A is at fault and they should pay. Period.
Stick to your guns, no matter how nasty the landlord gets, and insist AAA pay for their error.

I am a landlord and I can understand her being upset, but your brother did not crash the car.

Take a close look at your lease. You probably are not allowed long term guests. Some leases have clauses, read yours close to be certain the nasty landlady does not have a legitimate reason to evict you. If she does threaten you with it, you should know what your lease says in advance. And if she does threaten eviction, check a local tenants rights group. If you live in a major city, check with the mayor's office for some help. Hope nothing comes from it and the landlady will calm down after she gets a check from AAA.

There is no court in the world that will can place the blame on you or your brother. It is between your landlord and AAA. You shouldn't even be involved. You should take a dump in a bag and put it in her mailbox

Just let her wait for AAA to get it fixed. Nothing is owed to her from you.
