I am referring to a sellout in a minority community. What makes Colin Powell, Mary Cheney, and others sellouts to their communities? I really dont believe in sellouts just difference of opinions, but if someone can persuade me otherwise that would be fine.

I guess a sellout would be someone who degrades their own ethnicity for monetary gain. I don't think the people you mentioned are sellouts either. I think that is a terrible name to call someone and agree for the most part, it can be just a simple as a difference in opinion...but there are some who probably do fit the term.

When the individuals have power to bring change, they simply flow with the status quo and conveniently forget where they came from.......and how doors were opened for them as they struggled in the past anonymity of living.
