Well since I was around in the 80s. There is no way of predicting who. No one thought that U2 or the Chilli Peppers would still be successful today. But it all depends on who evolves with the times. Just like RHCP and U2 so keep your ears open.

Everyone thought Milli Vanilli was the second coming. Yes, its true.

I think The White Stripes have the best chance of survival right now. The Shins and the Strokes will probably stay around too, although probably more cult status.

You just never know. Being an 80's fan from back in the day, the music was essentially crushed in the '90s from the grunge seen.

Poison and Ratt just toured here in Connecticut, and the show, albeit a 6,000 seat arena, was completely sold out. not bad for bands that were huge 20 years ago who have been left for dead...

You just don't know...

Come on! Don't you notice the trends?!! Everything today is "Throwaway Garbage"!!! Look! Everybody wants what they want....NOW! Iphones just went on sale last week, and theey were crap from the start, everything is "cosumeable" items...until you don't want it anymore (1 month). NO new bands will be around 20 years from now, sure..they'll be alive - but in obscurity......

Linkin park
Three Days Grace
The Fray
HIM
Rise Against
wasn't Nickelback around since 1995? They have ten more years left then.

Tough call b/c record companies don't give bands a chance to grow the way they used to. If a band's 2nd album doesn't sell, (even if the 1st was huge), it's pretty much over for em.

So I dunno. I guess *Possibly* some of the indie bands out now. I just can't see it happening to any mainstream bands.

The White Stripes
HIM
My Chemical Romance... most people would beg to differ, but I think they will
30 Seconds To Mars
Aiden
Taking Back Sunday
The Used

I'd love to see RHCP keep on going, but man how old will they even be in 20 years??
