Hendrickson is in there now because Schmidt is on the DL. Before that you would see him start and some spot relief. His ERA is 4.05 and WHIP is 1.31 which is not that bad. The nice thing about Hendrickson is that he is a left hander and only he and Randy Wolf throw from the left side. I am a Dodger fan also and all I can say is let's hang in there with him and see what happens. By the way, he is not 1-7 he has won 2 and lost 4 this year.

The Dodgers have had Schmidt in that spot but since Schmidt got hurt they need someone to fill in the starting role. They'll probably use Hendrickson until they can find a guy to finish the season in that starting spot. His ERA isn't that bad either. At 4.05 he has a better mark than teammate Randy Wolf. He just doesn't get much run support like last night.

PS. He's 2-4

The Dodgers are running out of options. They have Penny, Lowe and Billingsley. Wolf is now on the DL. That leaves Tomko, who has been innefective, Houlton who has been worked out of the bullpen and Hendrickson who has had some success. Eventually Houlton will get a chance to start.

they need him until the all-star break i'm sure they will find someone better to replace him from a trade or the minors.
