I used to wait tables and a customer snapped at me once. I completely ignored them until I was finished with what I was doing (which wasn't important at all). When I finally walked up to the table he was rude to me and asked why I didn't come over sooner. I told him he was rude and needed to learn how to act in public. Surprisingly, I still got a tip!

Yes, my 15 year old niece does it all the time. You should have seen her trying to teach me how to do that. I never could get the snaps in sequence quite right.

yeh i had a student do that to me once. i warned him and talked to him about respect, what is socially acceptable, etc. a few days later he did it again and was really obnoxious about it, i called his aunt, and then sent him to the office.
