I love to ask you lot what you've had for tea because they assume I'm talking about the drink or the 'quaint' quintessential English high tea of petit fours/crumpets etc.
Let's all vow to confuse and confound the Americans more .... it's fun.

Without the British, you wouldn't have the America you are all so obviously proud of.

Oh, come on people. It's all a bit of fun, I'm never nasty to anyone and think that every American I've ever met have been lovely, friendly people.
If I've caused offence I'm sorry but I do find it hilarious that foreigners can misunderstand things we take for granted and I'm sure the same is true in reverse.
I'M ASPERGIC. I tell you that in my profile. As I tell my colleagues, if I say something you think is a bit ... 'off'; it will NEVER have been meant maliciously.
I never mean anything by anything.

Josh - way down on the bottom .... yeah, exactly. You've hit the nail on the head. Are we all so politically correct that we can't have a gentle laugh (and that's all it is) at each other?
What is going to be the future of comedy in that case, every joke has a victim.

Well I worked for a woman from Scotland and a man from England for 14 yrs. and I thought they were the BEST bosses in the world that I ever had. I loved their son talk about the cat, he called it the ***** and it took me awhile to figure out what the loo was.

I loved the response you got.
You are very naughty though.
"Go choke on a bacon butty", I love it.
Does asperges mean you just don't have any control over what you ask? Do your questions just sort of leap out and fly into Yahoo! land?

American emphasizes democratic and freedom to their people and the rest the world, however lack understanding of the consequences because they didn't send everyone in the world to their schools. They always got it wrong !

I got told off once for spelling a word incorrectly (can't remember what it was). In fact I had spelt it correctly for the UK spelling, but they spell it differently in the US. Got a right telling off, though!

Well I like tea and I'm American.
And really, American - English - aren't we really all the same, just living on different continents?

I would suppose that your mind just might be as open as the pie hole on your face, but then again, that might be giving you a wee bit more credit than you deserve. Why do the ignorant, such as yourself, find it necessary to put down or ridicule other cultures? You certainly aren't above any group of people, and you are exactly the type of person responsible for shattering the spirits of lovely human beings who have more class in their lower intestine than you do in the entirety of your complete self! I pity you! You are a small and pathetic human being and one who divides the human race. Annie
