Is there a leak up there? Something interesting on the ceiling? If not, ignore him. Some people are just like that.

He probably just needs a band aid. Give him a Kleenex and a piece of tape and he will go away.

maybe he's trying to tell you that his middle finger hurts...you should go give him a hug...I bet it'd make him feel better...or you know, you could always stick ur middle finger up back at him....tell him ur finger hurts too.
