Interratial dating...sorry, don't agree with it and yes I am prepared to defend myself but just remember it is my opinion.

Internet dating. For the person who is really busy and doesn't want to go to a bar, it's a good way to meet someone but not a guarantee of a connection. It also provides enticement for those who may actually meet someone on an Internet date, that they like, but go home and check the e-mail to see if someone else has called. I never had an Internet date that wasn't dinner because I didn't feel a drink was conducive the reason we were there. It worked for me because I was always was called for a 2nd date but I never felt a connection, so I never went on a second date. It was very frustrating. I stopped the Internet dating and met my husband...the traditional way......an evening out! We met - the sparks flew and we fell in love. Trendy doesn't always work!

I'm surprised no one has said "i" products (iPod, iPhone, iMac) because those are becoming pretty overbearing. However I don't care because I love all of them.

I would say at least for me it is when people (99% boys) walk around with their pants halfway down so you can see their boxers...sometimes they even have belts on! It just seems to be growing and growing.

Also, I'm sick of cell phones. We have gone crazy with the phones. I guess we're getting too social for our own good. We can't just sit at the McDonald's drive-thru without calling our "BFF" as girls call it.

Bringing me to another annoying trend.....IM talk! Omg, lol, wtf, gtg, all that stuff. I don't mind people saying it on IM because you have to type fast enough for it to be "instant" or else you're just e-mailing. However I really dislike when I hear (mostly girls) saying "lol" or "omg".

So those are social trends I find annoying. I think with everything else, they'll fade out...maybe with the exception of the phone, which I think will just get more and more annoying.

The cult of "the celebrity". The slavish attention given to people who know nothing and have achieved nothing, but still manage to get their images plastered everywhere. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, the truly awful Beckhams, etc .... crikey, even if you WANT to avoid seeing them, you just CAN'T!!! It is giving an upcoming generation the idea that the only "virtues" worth pursuing are wealth, fame and self-indulgence.

I'm finding the lack of professional attire/attitude at many stores annoying. Examples include, but are not limited to, visible piercings/scarrings and tattoos, inappropriate clothing, clerks speaking on mobile phones during work hours, etc.

That baggy gansta clothes on boys has not gone out of style... its been in fashion for more then a decade and show no sign of leaving us. It just cracks me up that guys still do that.

Also having really thin tires... worse handling, more wear and tear and a bumpier ride are all you really get.

People like T-Bone... its the 21st Century not 1865! Wake up!!!!!!!

I think it's becoming trendy (or it is trendy) for very young girls (prepubescent girls) to be wearing all these provocative clothing (not mentioning the makeup). Maybe it's because I'm in LA or something but seriously, these young girls! I hear little 6-year-olds in my neighborhood talking about sex. That aside, when they get pissed at each other, they call each other "bitches" and "hoes". It's terrible. They think it's "cool" 'cause that's the way most teens and immature adults act.
