Normally I fall between sizes. Sometimes 3/4 fits but other times its too tight and I have to go with 5/6. Is there a brand that would work best with my body type, I'm slightly curvier on bottom than I am on top. Thank you!

Harsh much?
Wow, what I'm saying is that 4's are too tight yet the next size up is too big normally. And I really appreciate the fact that you insulted my intelligence, thanks so much. Its not everyday that I get told how blatantly stupid I am. Let me ask you another question, can you detect the sarcasm or was it not obvious enough for you?

Sounds like a size 1-3 on the waist and a size 4 on the hips (as long as 35.5 inches is the measurement of the largest part of your hips/buttocks).

Clothing size is determined using chest, waist and hip measurements and varies by brand. US standard clothing sizes were developed from statistical data in the 1940s-1950s and are no longer used by the fashion industry. Wikipedia has a great source of standard clothing sizes based on measurements, but like I said, standards are no longer used.

Here's a good article on why sising became obsolete and the general confusoion surrounding current sizing:

What you need to do is research on your own what sizes and styles work best for you from different manufacturers. Body type and measurements are very individual and you have to go through a process of elimination in order to find what fits you best. Unfortunately it's a never ending quest!!!

You can always make your own clothes, have them tailored to fit or special order things in your size by measurements. Remember that you pay for what you get and having clothing that fits you perfectly will cost you but it will be worth it if you look presentable and respectable. Lots of places do jeans based on 8 to 10 different body measurements and the Levi's factory in CA offers a shrinking tank where you sit and let the jeans conform to your body, stopping the process when they feel *perfect*. It's a great experience!!!

Good luck!

I'd say try Aeropostale and Limited Too, but do stretch and seperates since they fit better.
