It can be all these factors. Overweight, stress, not eating properly. I had the same issues as you. I think my record for not getting my period is about 3 years. Still, considering what you've said it's probably hormones. Go see your doctor, he'll organize for you to have a blood test (and he'll probably test to see if you're pregnant as well just to be sure). I think if you go on the pill you'll be fine. The pill also helps with the hormones as well so you may find yourself a bit calmer. Though most people tend to put on about 5 kgs when they go on the pill. See a GP. You don't usually see a gyno unless you've been refered by a GP although that can vary with which country you're in.

Okay, I can sorta relate.
I am 15 and I had serious irregular problems with my period starting when I was 13.
I didn't wanna tell my mom because like you are, I was scared.
But you've got to understand that this is could be serious, and going to the gyno isn't that bad. I promise you.
It sounds like you've waited long enough for it to come, it's been almost a whole year since you've had it.

You dont say when you started your periods, if you have only had one or two, then its not unusual to miss a few, but nine seems like a lot, are you under a lot of stress? that can stop your periods, also bieng underweight can do it, estrogen is stored in body fat, so if you dont have any, or have very little, then your periods will stop, a lot of marathon runners have this problem, but the only real answer is for you to see a doctor, if you are scared, see if there is a woman doctor in the practice you can see her, they can do blood tests for a lot of conditions these days that dont need anything invasive to happen.

You will have to go to the gyno. You may have PCOS -- other symptoms include acne and excess facial/body hair and weight that is mostly concentrated in your upper body (arms, stomach). If it is not PCOS, it may be something else. In either case, you need to go to the gyno...they can fix this so you don't have problems in the future when you're trying to conceive or other problems.

It may be because your overweight or simply because you're going through puberty, if you stress about it then your period will be delayed due to stress try to eat fruit, drink water and excersise not only will you feel better your body will be healthier and may trigger your period. Stop worrying. however, i do think you should tell ur mum as she'll know whats best for you.
Good Luck

If you are under or over weight or have lost/gained a lot of weight your periods can stop.
You really need to see your doctor though to be sure.

Because you're very lucky??
Seriously though, ask to speak to a female doctor and get checked. It's probably just hormones at your age.
