Which of the following slightly soluble substances are more soluble in acidic solution: AgCl , AgCN , CaF2 ? Can you please explain why? Thank you very much

AgCl is not very soluble, because the imaginary reaction AgCl + H+ ===> Ag+ + "HCl" does not produce a slightly ionized substance. HCN and HF are only slightly ionized, however, so reaction with H+ would take CN- and F- "out" of solution.

Depends on the acid. [AgCl2]- is water-soluble, so is [Ag(CN)2)]-. Hot nitric acid can oxidize cyanide. Strong acid can shift the equilibrium for CaF2 and volatize HF.
