Why are all the people who own the media CONSERVATIVES?
And face it, Liberals are more intelligent, and therefore make better journalists, because they can communicate more clearly. They know how to pronounce words correctly, they know how to spell, they know good grammar, etc.

I have known a few Republicans who were intelligent enough to be journalists. However, not a single one of them would even dream of working long hours for low pay, all for the reward of getting what Carl Bernstein called "the best available version of the truth."
Every single Republican I have known, with one exception, was motivated by a desire for money, for "security," for recognition, and for status symbols, which (s)he guarded to the death.
And I come from a long line of Republicans.
I think your statement about college majors is very revealing. Did you realize that the study of semiotics involves analyzing the construction of reality through the use of signs and symbols, including, but not limited to language, to reveal how meaning is constructed?
Someone who studies semiotics is good at analyzing propaganda--a very useful skill in today's political climate.
People who major in Women's Studies have a strong interest in human rights, and in the way in which gender is represented in history, in the media, in literature, and in the arts.
Peformance Arts majors use bodily expression to reveal truth.
The purpose of higher education is to aquire the tools to think more and learn more.
The LIBS, educated in this way, are far better equipped to function in today's world--a world of media, computers, and representations--than button-pushers and bean counters.
And because they are involved in representation at the highest level--the level of understanding and controlling representation--they will enjoy more fluidity in their careers, and ultimately, higher pay.
And just one other thing, buddy: performance artists and journalists get laid a lot more often than accountants.

Thomas Sowell explained this situation in a 1980s newspaper editorial, which I thoroughly agree.
According to Dr. Sowell, for decades during the 50s & 60s the political left have been sending their best and brightest, their 'A' team, into law schools and journalism; and the conservatives and political right have been sending their 'A' teams into business schools and Wall Street.
That is why today there is such a lop-sided representation of liberals sitting on the bench or writing for newspapers. The liberal left intent is for social change through judicial and journalistic activism. The conservative right is to make money.

The general consensus based on polls taken, 90% of journalists are liberal. NY Times, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC are much higher, in fact conservatives are not tolerated at these "activist journalist" news agenices. The major networks take their direction from the NY Times, who is an extreme activist news group. Anyone that wants a career in those liberal groups better sing from the socialist hymnbook or their career is D.O.A. Fox evolved from the void, where no conservative views were allowed on mainstream news groups. Although FOX does have liberals and lets liberals view their opinions, the other news group see this as heresy- they are so conditioned to believe that only liberals views are tolerated, liberals have come to believe they are actually "middle of the road" ; no extremists think they are far from center. In colleges, most of the professors are liberal; they promote liberalism to college students, using emotional subjects like abortion and war to convince students to accept socialist viewpoints. Once students live in the real world and understand that liberals live in a non-real world, the students then become conservatives unless they prefer to "take" from society rather than contribute.
If you wonder why news agencies are liberal and intolerant of differing views, you could ask why Hollywood people, professors and news agencies have the cancer of socialism, too.

Why would they be all liberals if hardly any media has been covering anything at all to do with the impeachment issue. No matter how much or how many people write or e-mail the media to report on the issue, they are afraid to say the word "Impeach". So how can they all be liberals? At least it gets on some of the on-line sites and then people can spread the word there. So I would say TV is mainly Republican ran, internet has more of us "liberals" on it.

So why when the obvious majority of educated people lean in one direction do you lean in the other .
It is said that most educated people are liberal until they have kids and then they become conservative .
Why the sudden change of heart .
Could it be that know they are building a dynasty and want to hand over as much capital to their kids as possible .
That under the republicans you have more money to pass on .
Its just simple math is all .
Unless they elect republicans they will pay higher taxes and they know it .
Anyone with plenty of money votes republican . Then they pray no one calls them on it .

Because conservatives, by and large, do not pursue avenues of knowledge.
They are only in a "career" for the money, everyone knows that. There's no money in journalism, except for the select few who achieve "star" status.
Searching for truth and news is hard, serious, dedicated, responsible work. How could there POSSIBLY be any conservatives in it?
