I just don't understand. If you are attracted to straight men, what is their reaction when they find out what you are.

Thanks everyone for answering, but I guess I will never understand. It's just to confusing for me.

Let me get this correctly:

transexual men=person whom was born female that has transitionned into males by surgery(s)---known as ftm

transexual women=person whom was born male that has transitionned into females by surgery(s)----known as mtf

IF that is what you are referring to, then they could gay, bi, or straight.
Just remember that the transexual's inner identity of WHO they are (male minded or female minded) is not the same as sexual orientation (gay, bi, straight). Two different topics there.

As for the reactions from the straight men, IF I was mtf, would probably vary from anger, disgust, confusion, indifference, and to "so what?". Everyone is different and entitled to their feelings.

Hope things are a little clear for you now.

Being transsexual has nothing to do with your orientation. You can still be attracted to either (or both) genders as a transsexual.

It is a common misconception that transsexuals are only "gay".

I think this also has to do with how one looks at a transperson. If you are a person who can understand that a transperson really IS the gender they wish to become, then they would be classified as gay/straight depending on that. Not their birth gender.

Oh and gay or straight men? It doesn't work like that. You're either attracted to men, women, or both. You can't really distinguish your natural gender preference between whether a person is gay, straight or otherwise.

That's way too broad a question (no pun intended) to give any kind of an accurate answer to. Some transsexuals like straight men, others like Gay men, and others like other transsexuals of the same assigned gender as themselves.

what's so confusing?

transexual men could like either boys or girls whether they be gay or straight.. just like most people in the world.

if a transman is straight they like girls. if they are gay then boys.. not that hard.

male to female trannies have to be careful in their flirtations w straight men . Sometimes the guys dont realize whats up till the pants come off , and they get violent . But many men who call themselves straight will sleep w men and trannies.

The majority of transsexual men - around 80% - are straight; they're attracted to women.

["Austin"; transsexual women use women's bathrooms, transsexual men use men's bathrooms. It's not really that THATdifficult....;)]

You can not group everybody together because everybody is not the same. I had a friend who became a lesbian after her sex change. He liked girls before too.

I think you'd have to ask the individual. This is way too general a question.
