I go to yard sales and flea markets. You can get all shapes and sizes really cheap.

If you have some odd shaped puzzles, you may want to get some portrait board from a craft store and trace the shep onto the board and the cut it out and CAREFULLY glue it to the board. for square puzzles, if you cant find the exact size, get a frame that is slightly bigger than the puzzle. cut out a piece of cardboard or another hard material that will fit in the frame. Paint it a suitable color with spray paint and then glue the puzzle to that board. you may want to take the glass out of the frame so that the puzzle doesn't bend the glass. then insert the board (after the glue dries) and secure. Voila! a perfect framed puzzle!

If your puzzles are big, think about getting the wood for the frame in long lengths.
You need then to cut it in 45 degree angles. There are special tools for that, or ask at the shop that sells the wood, often they will do it for you.
You will need to know the exact size of the picture.
The back of the frame will be a piece of board, sold in the same shops.
