Yeah Paul, I saw that one too. I bet his campaign money pays for the coifs. Just what we need - a President who preens! "you"re so vain" would be a good theme song, along with "I feel pretty".

Well, there are a lot more expensive cuts than that. Trust me, I'm from a place where I used to go to the dude around the corner to get my cut done for $5. When he got sent to prison, I went to the dude down the street for $6. Also not the biggest Edwards fan, but there's nothing wrong when you are running an election to pay for "the look". Well, I should say considering all the other crap that people do to get elected, this isn't as bad nor is it as annoying. Personally, I think some journalist has way too much time on their hands to write an article about a hair cut.

Wow, there's all kinds of venom over this question. My only thoughts are that if he is that free with his own money, what would he be like with our money?

If you're looking for the common person vote, this wont do it.

Heck, I think I'm high-timing it when I pay my barber ten bucks and throw in a 2 buck tip. Especially since most of the cutting is on my back, nose, eyebrows, and ears.

If he wants he can pay me $1,200 and I'll give him a trim.
In fact I'll shave him as bald as the honorable eagle and watch the media scurry to get coverage on his new hair style.
Britney wouldn't be the only one getting all the attention.
John Edwards would upstage her by far after I was done.
And I wouldn't even expect a tip.

You have to realize how important his coif is. Seriously. He is in direct competition with Hillary for the younger female voters. How many of these would he get on politics alone? If he were a fat, balding man, say who looked like Cheney, do yoou think he would even be in consideration for the Dems? I know that's a ludicris sum to pay for a haircut, but I know why he does it.

My so vane?

Oh! You're So Vane!

Well, he asked this "barbor" to come to him. So, John had to pay the poor guy's travel expenses. When you a democratic candidate, you don't GO to the scissors. The scissors come to you.

How much do you think it would cost for you to take some lessons on English grammar?

Then, maybe you could join a debate about the many SERIOUS ISSUES that face our nation today, rather than focusing on meaningless trivia.

George Bush violates the Constitution every day. People are dying in Iraq. The gap between the rich and poor is getting wider. Millions of US jobs are fleeing to Asia. But by God, the REAL issue of today is John Edwards' grooming habits.

Grow up and get a life.

Paul, if he only paid $100 for his hair cut then he would fit in the category of "You're So Vain."
