My Acura Legend 88's High Pressure Line is leaking. Acually the line itself gets moist and the oil drips to the top of my engine causing it to smoke as the oil gets burned. I am not planning to keep this car any longer but would need to use it for few more weeks. Is there a quick fix to the PS leak? I tried to wrap the hose with rubber but it still manage to leak.

Can I disable the Power Steering pump? If so how and is it safe if I do this?

Thanks!

The replacement answers are correct. DO NOT RUN THE PUMP OUT OF OIL!! That is stupid!!!! The pump will seize and do more damage than replacing the hose!!!

Yes you can disable the pump buy removing the belt driving it. Howeveer it will be hard to steer and in most cases you cant remove the belt as it also drives something else.
Go to the junk yard and get a replacement hose or just put up with it.
The hose that is leaking is the high pressure side and it has as much as 2500 psi and nothing short of replacing the hose will help.

you can not disable it, but you could let it drain out of fluid completely and not fill it again, that will stop the leaking and you will not have power steering, it will be hard to turn the steering wheel. good luck.
